Where to park at Kansas City airport? A Complete Guide

The new terminal, the greatest single infrastructure investment in the region’s history, will improve air travel into and out of Kansas City for all passengers by catering to their individual needs. Put on your seatbelts and prepare for the rush of excitement as the sights of The Heart of America and Kansas City International Airport (MCI) come into view outside the plane’s windows. To the great city of Kansas!

There is paid parking at the airport and other surface lots in the neighborhood. The paid lot, which can be reached from Interstate 395, is the most convenient passenger parking option. It’s open 24/7, can fit 2,000 cars, and costs $18 daily.

Costs may increase at the surface lots because of their proximity to the terminals. Valet parking is available at the airport for a cost

The airport has no hotels, but one is not too far away. Just a mile and a half away (or so) is the Kansas City Airport Marriott, which offers a free airport shuttle and a 24-hour front desk staff.

Where to park for free at KCI?

Parking in the Kansas City International Airport’s Cell Phone Lot is free if you pick someone. You may find public restrooms at 680 Brasilia Ave., where you’ll find the Cell Phone Lot and the taxicab facility. This parking lot has plenty of spots for buses, limos, vans, and taxis, and it complies with ADA standards.

Up to 45 minutes of parking are on the house in the Cell Phone Lot. Be sure never to leave your vehicle unattended in airport parking because it may be hauled away at your expense.

Locations for Disabled Patrons to Park:

Tulsa International Airport offers several alternatives for passengers who require parking close to the terminal and are eligible to park in reserved accessible parking places. Our hourly and garage parking lots each have designated accessible parking places for a daily rate of $15.00.

For the length of your visit, you are welcome to park in one of the designated accessible parking spaces in our temporary parking lot. One of the most cost-effective options is our daily rate of $9 for our economy lot. There is a wheelchair-accessible shuttle service available at the airport.

Parking lots surround the terminals, and farther out is a cheaper lot reserved for those staying for an extended period. Parking garage rates are as follows: $1 for the first half hour, $3 each hour, up to a daily maximum of $28. The same pricing structure applies to the outside circle parking lot, although the daily limit is $18.

The kci economy parking lot is located on the outskirts of the airport property. It can hold almost 7,000 vehicles and only costs $9 per day. The Blue Bus service is a complimentary shuttle in and around this parking lot. Shuttle buses leave the parking lot every fifteen minutes, day or night. The trip to the terminals takes roughly 15 minutes from the parking lot.

A guide to using KCI Economy Parking for first-time visitors

RED BUS: For KCI Terminals Outside of the Circle parking slot

Red Buses transport passengers for free between terminals and the Circle Parking Lots throughout the clock. Every 20 to 30 minutes, there will be a Red Bus stop at the curb. All Red Buses include wheelchair lifts and may “kneel” down to make the loading ramp more accessible. Dial 5201 from any white courtesy phone in the terminal for more details (816-243-5201 outside).

BLUE BUS – To Economy Parking Lots

Shuttles, known as “Blue Buses,” run free of charge around the clock, connecting the Economy Parking Lots with the airport’s terminals. Blue Bus stops are designated with signage over the curbs outside each terminal. Blue Buses make stops at each roofed shelter in the Economy Parking Lots. About every twenty to thirty minutes, a bus will pull up. To facilitate wheelchair access to the loading steps, every Blue Bus has a wheelchair lift and may “kneel” down. From any white courtesy phones inside the terminal, dial 5201 (816-243-5201 outside).

GRAY BUS – To Rental Car Facility

The Consolidated Rental Car Facility is conveniently located near the terminals, and “Gray Buses” run nonstop to transfer passengers between the two locations at no cost. Rental car pickup areas are signposted and shaded on the terminal’s main thoroughfare. It takes the buses around 5-10 minutes to do a full loop. Every Gray Bus has a wheelchair lift and can “kneel” down to make it simpler for passengers to board. Dial 1390 (816-243-1390 outside) from any white courtesy phone inside the terminal for assistance.

Since MCI was the airport’s original name, it makes sense that MCI would be the code chosen by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). MCI, or Mid-Continent International Airport, was KCI’s precursor.

In the exact middle of each terminal’s circular layout is a parking garage that provides convenient parking options. They are designated as Garage A, Garage B, and Garage C, after the terminals they serve. All three of the economy-oriented lots that were available went quickly. Garages A, B, and C have limited parking spots available.
